Privacy Policy
How USSolar.shop collects, uses, and protects information, including cookies, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and your GDPR and CCPA rights.
Information we collect
We collect very little. The Texas Solar Calculator runs entirely in your browser and your inputs are never transmitted to our servers or shared with installers.
We collect an email address only when you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. Our hosting and analytics providers automatically log standard technical data.
- Email address, when you subscribe or write to us
- IP address, browser type, device type, and referring page
- Pages viewed, time on page, and general geographic region
- Cookie identifiers used for analytics and advertising
How we use information
To operate and improve the site, understand which guides are useful, send the newsletter you requested, respond to your messages, and serve advertising that keeps the site free.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use essential cookies for basic site function, analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage, and advertising cookies served by third parties.
- Essential: required for the site to function
- Analytics: Google Analytics, aggregate usage measurement
- Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners, ad delivery and frequency capping
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic. Google may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on.
Google AdSense and third-party advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Where required by law, we request consent before setting non-essential advertising cookies.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our lawful bases are consent for marketing and legitimate interests for analytics and site security. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Your rights under CCPA and CPRA
California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood, and we do not sell leads to solar installers. Advertising cookies may constitute sharing under the CPRA; you may opt out by emailing privacy@ussolar.shop or by using your browser's global privacy control signal, which we honor.
Data retention and security
Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis according to our provider's default period. We use HTTPS throughout and limit internal access to subscriber data.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date. Questions or requests: privacy@ussolar.shop.
