Editorial Policy
How USSolar.shop researches, writes, reviews, sources, and updates its Texas solar content, and how we keep advertising separate from editorial.
Our standard
Every page must be useful to a Texas homeowner making a real decision. If a page exists only to rank, it does not belong here.
Research process
Writers start from primary sources: utility tariff sheets, IRS guidance, appraisal district forms, EIA rate filings, NREL production modeling, and anonymized homeowner contracts. Secondary reporting is used for context, never as the basis for a number.
Review and fact checking
Every page with cost, rate, or incentive figures is reviewed by a second person before publication. Our energy markets editor signs off on all rate and utility program claims.

Update cycle
Cost models are reviewed quarterly. Any page is updated immediately when a federal incentive, state statute, or major utility program changes.
Independence from advertising
Advertising and affiliate relationships are managed separately from editorial. No advertiser reviews content before publication, and no partner can purchase placement, ratings, or favorable coverage.
AI use
We use software tools for research assistance and drafting support, but every published page is written, verified, and edited by a named human who is accountable for its accuracy.
Corrections
Errors are corrected promptly and disclosed. See our corrections policy for how we handle and log them.
